Elona Taqwa

Elona was born in a very respectable family on March 01, 2000. She was born when her father was in a peace-keeping mission in Bosnia-Herzegovina. He was expecting to have a daughter as their first kid is a son. So he became too happy receiving the happy news of her birth. He named her Mridu as for informal addressing among family members. This name was excellent and uncommon and her mother also delighted to hear the sweet name. All of the family members agreed to call her as Mridu. Her father returned home and settled her official name as Elona Taqwa. Naming ceremony (Akika) was was celebrated taking her Nick Name and Official Name in a befitted manner. Everyone who saw her immediate after birth including doctors and nurses remarked that they had never seen such a beautiful new-born in their lives. She grew up and became more beautiful as was expected. She received high ranking admiration throughout of her little life from everyone wherever she went. One of her teachers expressed when she came to console Elona's mother after her death that she used to tell Elona out of love for her that she is zealous of her height. Elona would smile at her teacher respectfully bowing her head down when she would hear the compliment.

She was all around brilliant from her childhood. She scored 95% + marks in all subjects irrespective the nature of exam. So she could draw the special attention from her teachers. Her mother regularly picked the result sheets and experienced high admiration passed by class teachers for Elona. Her mother was never summoned by the school authority for any misconduct. So she kept her mother's position high with her brilliance and behavior. She never narrowed herself within the boundary of class-room rather stepped along all paths suggested the school authority. She increased her involvemence in extra curricula activities as she grew up in age. She was a good athlete and achieved many awards and certificates in school's annual games and sports. She was a good player and enlisted her name in school basket-ball and hand-ball teams. She was captain for the school's basket-ball team and achieved many Championships and Runners-up cups in inter school tournaments arranged by American International School, Dhaka (AISD), International School, Dhaka (ISD), Scholastica, Aga Khan School, Delhi-Public School (DPS), Green Herald School and Sunnydale. She was enlisted in the National Under-19 Women Basket-ball Team by the Bangladesh Basket-ball Federation. She achieved Runners-up awards twice in the Inter School Hand-ball Tournaments arranged by the Bangladesh Hand-ball Federation. She participated in charity and voluntary works. She achieved a very good position in Spelling Bee Competitions twice.

Sunnydale School was preferred for her by her father because of the school's strong control on discipline and good results. She proved her efficiency achieving 90%+ in all subjects in her O-Level and AS-Level. She was never serious academic and studied very reluctantly. She was rather attracted to extra-curricula activities and gossiping with classmates. Before A-Level, she was found rare in exam preparation and even never missed to play basket-ball before a day of her exam. But she proved her talent achieving 90%+ in three subjects and dropped by only 2 in the remaining one, Biology.  It would be A+ also if an appeal could be filed. A matter of great sorrow that the result was declared after a few days of her departure. She left us on June 05, 2019 which was Eid-ul-Fitre. !!!!😢😢
