World-cup Football; aspirations of the fans.

Football is the most popular game in the world. It is played everywhere, witnessed everywhere and enjoyed everywhere.  In Bangladesh, football is the most popular game relating to World-cup parameter. It was most popular even domestically till 80’s and then supporters started shifting from football to cricket. Now cricket is the most supported game in our country. For any tournament like in World-cup manner, football still clips the highest number of fans from child to aged. Thousands of flags of Brazil and Argentina are sold and hoisted by the fans. They attach those on cars, houses, poles and roads. They paint flags of those two countries in particular on their cheeks, hands and bodies. As our elders say, Bangladeshi football fans were mostly devoted for Brazil before 1986 and a good number of fans were created and separated from the group for Argentina when they won the Championship in 1986.  This fragmentation was not for the Argentinian team as a whole but for the aesthetic and magical performance of Maradona holding jersey number 10. Till now, a huge number of fans for Argentina await the World-cup for only Argentina. If anyone of them is asked about they referred Pele to have same role to create the fans for Brazil. Probably they are not wrong. So now fans are mostly divided into two i.e. for Brazil and for Argentina. 

Countries in the South America are parallelly skilled in football. This part of the world can be termed as a continent of football. But we observe a decline for those countries especially for Brazil and Argentina after 2002 where Brazil had the highest performance. For a long time, cup is moving around in Europe. South Americans are on their maximum efforts to bring back their tradition but fail to do. This decline also strikes among the fans of the two countries and a decline in the supporters is equally observed especially in our country. A good number of fans start inclining to the Europeans because of their excellent performance after 2002. 

An easy equation can be drawn here for the sudden collapse. Till now South Americans are presenting more number of star players as a whole. Their concentration on football is more intense than other games. So a big question remains; why they fail to achieve the success. There might be more reasons but I want to stress of the players’ station in Europe in the maximum time of the year. They are hired at a high stake by the European clubs. Many of them are married there, settled there and have even citizenship there. They return before few days of international events and constitute the team. So a need for mutual understanding, which is very important, always prevail among them as all of the team members are not hired to paly in Europe. Football experts can pass more authentic opinion here. It is my naïve opinion which may not be taken by the experts.
